About Soul Sisters Foods
Our Origin Story
Soul Sisters Foods began long before the frozen-food aisle.
Our story goes back to 2003, when sisters Betty and Kathy Dixon opened Kingdom’s Sea & Soul, a carryout restaurant in Paterson, New Jersey. Rooted in Southern comfort food but never limited by tradition, we brought together the flavors and influences we loved to create food that felt familiar—with an unexpected Soul Sisters twist.
It was in that restaurant kitchen that Soul Rolls® — Soul Food Tortilla Rolls and MAC Cheezy Bites™ — Fried Macaroni & Cheese Bites were born. These weren’t products created years later for a food trend. They were original dishes we created, prepared and served to our customers at Kingdom’s Sea & Soul.
Our creativity and approach to comfort food eventually earned us the name “The Soul Sisters.”
When the restaurant chapter ended, the food—and the vision behind it—continued. We took our creations to festivals and community events, connecting with consumers and building a following one bite at a time.
Today, that journey is taking us from the restaurant kitchen to the frozen-food aisle. We’re bringing the same restaurant-inspired creativity behind Soul Rolls® to a new generation of consumers—making bold, distinctive comfort food easier to enjoy at home, while staying connected to the traditions and experiences that started it all.

Inspired by the classic egg roll and reimagined in true Soul Sisters style, Soul Rolls® bring the flavors of soul food together inside a crispy flour tortilla.
